Welcome to February's Blog Hop! It's another exciting one! We have been working with Sherri Baldy Stamps!
For my first Blog Hop project I used the Nellie and Dot the Dragon
stamp. Once I colored her, I decided to use her on a locker dry erase board.
I colored Nellie and Dot using my Distress Markers and some watercolor markers. I did try my first attempt at using Copics for the skin. I'm not sure whether I want to invest all that money into more Copics, but at least I have the skin tones. The Distress Markers would not work for skin. I then added some clear stickles to her socks, skirt, and a dot in each eye.
I used some purple beaded trim from the dollar store to put across the bottom. Then I used some large jewels to put around the frame. But I didn't have purple jewels, so I decided in keeping with Valentine's Day I would punch out some purple hearts!
I glued Nellie and Dot to some chipboard after I colored them. I then cut them out with a craft knife (not an easy thing to do--note to self: use thinner cardboard). I found some stuff called Fantasy Fibre that I used to put behind her. I also added some black feathers and green tulle.
I just loved how this turned out! I am sure some teenage girl would want this in their locker! If you have any questions...ask away. If you want to leave a comment, go ahead and show me some love!
Now it's on to the next person on the Blog List.....
